Privacy

Effective 5 September 2026. This page separates what the scanner handles locally from what a web host or future checkout provider may process.

Current state: checkout and analytics are not live. Seller identity and a support address must be added before sales open.

Your source stays in the browser

When you choose a CSV or TXT, MergeLint reads its bytes in browser memory. The site does not upload the source, filename, field names, field values, or generated report. In the offline package, optional folder matching compares only the names and relative paths exposed by the folder you select; asset contents are not read.

Closing or refreshing the page clears the scan state. MergeLint does not place source data in cookies, local storage, or a database.

Site delivery data

The static hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamps to deliver and protect the site. That processing is controlled by the host's terms and retention settings.

MergeLint sets no advertising cookies. No analytics provider is configured at launch. If privacy-respecting event analytics is enabled later, it is limited to event name, product mode, finding counts, and timestamp. It excludes file content, filenames, paths, and field values; this page will be updated before analytics is enabled.

Checkout data

When checkout is enabled, purchase links will open Lemon Squeezy, the planned merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy processes payment, billing, tax, receipt, fraud, and refund information under its own privacy policy. The product supplier may receive the order and customer information needed to deliver the product and provide support.

Contact and changes

The support address will appear here and on the purchase receipt before checkout goes live. Material changes will be dated on this page. Mandatory privacy rights in your jurisdiction are not limited by this notice.
