Blank and duplicate headers, uneven row widths, decoding risk, image-field conventions, path whitespace, missing assets, case mismatches, and ambiguous filenames.

INDD or IDML files, fonts, layout, overset text, merged output, PDF settings, print readiness, or Adobe application state.
The report names the row.
Each finding has a stable code, severity, row, field, evidence, and next step. Export CSV or JSON from the offline version when the report needs to travel with the job.

Before you use it
Does the web demo upload my source?
No. The demo processes the selected file in browser memory. It does not send file bytes, filenames, or field values to analytics.
Why does the demo stop at 25 rows?
The public demo accepts up to 2 MiB and 250 fields, then checks the first 25 data rows. The offline package accepts up to 25 MiB, 1,000 fields, and 100,000 data rows on your computer.
Will it fix every finding automatically?
No. It can create a conservative clean copy when trimming headers or image paths is safe. Structural blockers stay visible for a person to repair.
Is MergeLint made by Adobe?
No. MergeLint is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Adobe.
